Tait Built is a Licensed Building Practitioner (assessed through the New Zealand Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment).

Meet James

Director and owner of Tait Built, James Tait has more than 16 years’ experience in the building industry. James completed his apprenticeship in Southland, under BJ Carter Builders. During this time, he worked on a variety of small and large building projects.

After completing his apprenticeship, James spent four years in Christchurch honing his building skills with Design Construction. He worked as a Site Manager for three years, overseeing the construction of a large, commercial-scale, architectural home through from inception to completion. This home gathered a few awards, which is testament to James’ strong abilities as a carpenter and communicator.

Honest and hard working, James does not shy away from a challenge. No job is too big or too small, and he ensures each one is completed to an extremely high standard. James’ keen eye for detail and consultative management style ensures that he achieves the best possible result for each and every client.
